Abstract

Sovereignty is the essence of the traditional structure in international
relations and the basis on which states practice their relations under
international law. In recent years, the world has witnessed many
challenges to sovereignty, which have had a profound impact in
shaping international relations as they exist. The most prominent of
these challenges are international humanitarian intervention,
globalization, with what it claims to liberalize the global economy,
as well as combating terrorism and organized crime.
This study aimed to clarify the concept of sovereignty and its
historical development, and to identify the most prominent
challenges of sovereignty; to weaken it under various pretexts,
aiming to undermine the entity of the state and usurp its decisions
and national wealth, while clarifying the future of sovereignty in
light of these challenges.
The research included two sections, the first section dealt with the
concept of sovereignty and its historical development, while the
second section dealt with the challenges of sovereignty and its
future.
At the end of this research, I reached a number of results, the most
important of which is the emergence of new actors on the
international life scene; Such as multinational companies and the
World Trade Organization had a great impact on sovereignty, until it
ended up with this current scaling
